PBS Coals was established in 1963 and developed over the years by NSM of England. It was formerly owned by Penfold Capital Acquisitions. The privately held company was purchased by Severstal Resources, a division of OAO Severstal.

Who buys products

The majority of the steam coal produced is shipped to the electric power generation industry throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. The coking coal is shipped to customers in the steel industry worldwide.

Using of products

Coking coal is a raw material used to produce coke which is a raw material essential to the production of steel. Steam coal is used for electric power generation.
