Children and the Future

In 2009, we continued our Road Home programme, which is focused on the comprehensive prevention of child neglect and social orphanhood in the town of Cherepovets.  City-wide, the programme coordinates the efforts of anyone who can contribute to solving the problem. 

The “Road Home” programme comprises 23 projects. The Foster Parents School supports those who would like to take a child into foster care. The School is also focused on the prevention of abandonment of foster children. A special Employment Agency helps underage children from high-risk groups to find jobs. We also have a number of other initiatives, including the Childhood telephone hotline.

The programme operates with the support of the Cherepovets Town Hall and OAO Severstal.  Our CEO, Alexey Mordashov, provides personal foster care.
