The Skolkovo High Five Awards ceremony was held at the
SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management on the occasion of its 5th
anniversary.
A prize in nomination “5 life-changing meetings at Skolkovo” went to
Аlexey Mordashov, CEO of ОАО Severstal, and graduate of the 1st
class of the MBA school Artemy Subbotin.
The two winners met at a session for students, now graduates, with the
head of ОАО Severstal Аlexey Mordashov, a founding partner of the school and a
member of its coordination council.
Artemy Subbotin told of a nondestructive test unit for metal. The
proposed technology makes it possible to roll hot billets direct, skipping the
cooling phase, which yields considerable savings in steelmaking.
After the project had been studied by ОАО Severstal experts, the company
became interested in this proposal and allowed demonstration tests to be
conducted at its enterprises under actual plant conditions.
